Now at this point you might be thinking: “I’m going through this course but I haven’t done any playing yet.” It’s okay, we’ll get there soon - but first you need to know the name of each of the strings because you’re inevitably going to find yourself in the situation where you have to play a chord or a specific set of notes. You don’t want to be in that kind of situation and say: “Hang on! Which string am I on?”

It’s really important that you’re able to identify which one’s which.
